Port of Houston Authority Set to Upgrade to JD Edwards 9.2
The Port of Houston Authority (PHA) operates a 25-mile-long complex of diversified public and private facilities located just a few hours’ sailing time from the Gulf of Mexico. The Port of Houston is ranked first in the United States in foreign waterborne tonnage (19 consecutive years); first in U.S. imports (23 consecutive years); first in U.S. export tonnage (6 consecutive years) and second in the U.S. in total tonnage (23 consecutive years).
As part of PHA’s ongoing efforts to improve and update their IT systems and infrastructure, Smartbridge has been selected as their strategic partner to successfully upgrade their installation of JD Edwards to 9.2.
The JD Edwards upgrade also includes a significant update to their security design and implementation of ALLout Security. Smartbridge has started working with PHA on this critical project as of June 2016, with a planned go-live in the 2016 Q4 time frame.
