It included scope, timeline, milestones, cost, resource and risk management. Based on the results of our assessment, management launched the upgrade execution effort led by Smartbridge professionals.
Working closely with the business analysts, business users and technical personnel, Smartbridge upgraded the JDE EnterpriseOne system from 8.11 to 9.00 update 1. We retrofitted the custom applications and reports, tested the entire system end-to-end, performed two rounds fo mock conversions and successfully upgraded the system.
The upgrade was executed with minimal impact to the users (weekend only). Minor issues were encountered post go-live due to Oracle software bugs that were not detected during testing. These were subsequently resolved by working closely with Oracle. The system has been very stable since the upgrade in 4Q 2010.
